BIO

Samwel E. Kimambo is an Electronics Engineer specialising in Telecommunications and Information Technology. He earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Electronics Engineering and Information Technology from the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) in 2024, following a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT).

Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Computer and IT Systems Engineering at the University of Dar es Salaam. In addition, he works as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering at the College of Information and Communication Technologies (CoICT), where he is actively involved in teaching, research, consultancy, and public service while striving for further academic and professional development.

Mr. Kimambo’s Master’s research focused on "Aspect Dependent-Based Ghost Suppression in Through-the-Wall Radar Imaging Using Multi-Level Prime Arrays Under a Compressive Sensing Framework." His work contributes to enhanced target detection and clutter reduction through innovative configurations of Multi-Level Prime Arrays (MLPAs).

He has participated in significant professional development programs, including a Global Development Hub Exchange program at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where he gained expertise in signal processing, data analytics, and deep learning. Additionally, he completed a Robotics Training Program at the Centre for Mechatronics, IIT Kanpur, under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Programme (ITEC). This training covered topics such as microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, kinematics, dynamics, trajectory planning, programming, controls, artificial intelligence (AI), and included various practical experiments.
