BIO

Salim M. Yahya is a researcher and developer with expertise in wireless communication, spectrum sensing, extra-large MIMO systems, and near-field communication. His research includes optimizing cyclic prefix design in XL-MIMO by leveraging visibility regions and excess delay analysis to improve spectral efficiency. He is also exploring cyclo-stationary analysis, OFDM signal identification using SDRs, and dynamic spectrum allocation in MIMO systems.

In addition to his research in wireless systems, Mr. Yahya is interested in software development, especially mobile applications, desktop and web applications. His projects include the Zenjishoppazz e-commerce platform, which is comprised of both mobile and web applications.

His work spans both theoretical research and real-world hands-on applications, bridging the gap between cutting-edge wireless communication techniques and practical mobile technology solutions.

RESEARCH

Mr. Salim is currently assistant Lecturer in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering at the ETE depart CoICT of the University of Dar es salaam. His areas of interest include smart gird, wireless sensor networks, IoT and Embedded Systems, ICT systems design and development and ICT entrepreneurship
