BIO

Iddy R. Swalehe is an academician specializing in artificial intelligence, communications, and network engineering. He earned an MSc degree in Communications and Network Engineering from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in 2024, following a BSc  degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Dodoma.

Currently,  Mr. Swalehe is pursuing PhD in Computer and IT Systems Engineering at the University of Dar es Salaam. Also, he serves as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, College of Information and Communication Technologies, University of Dar es Salaam.

His Master’s research on deep learning for neurological diseases has gained significant recognition, leading to invitations to present at esteemed academic forums, including the EnhanceMind AI Conference 2024 and the WAITRO Summit 2024 in China. Beyond academia, Mr. Swalehe has extensive practical experience across various telco projects, ranging from Radio Access Networks (RAN) to Core Networks, Enterprise solutions like FTTx, and banking technologies such as Flexcube.

As a graduate member of the Engineers Registration Board (ERB), Mr. Swalehe remains dedicated to advancing knowledge and innovation in AI, communications, and network engineering through his research and academic contributions.

RESEARCH

Mr. Swalehe joined the academic staff of the University of Dar es Salaam in 2022, He works as Tutorial Assistant in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering (ETE). He assists in the teaching of undergraduate programmes. His research interests include Wireless Communications, Microwave transmission, IPRAN technology, Signal Processing and Machine Learning.
