Dr Khadija Mkocha

Education and Training

Dr Khadija Mkocha received a BSc Degree, an MSc degree, and a PhD in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Dar es Salaam, in 2005, 2009, and 2020 respectively. She is a registered graduate engineer, currently pursuing registration as a professional engineer. Khadija is also a member of the Institution of Engineers Tanzania (IET) and IEEE.

Work Experience

Dr Mkocha joined the academic staff of the University of Dar es Salaam as a Tutorial Assistant in 2007. Currently, she is a Lecturer in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering (ETE), College of Information and Communication Technologies (CoICT) of the University of Dar es Salaam.  She also teaches basic electronics and communications courses as well as project management. She is deeply involved in clusters and incubation initiatives at CoICT. Her research interests include next-generation networks, communication theory, statistical signal processing as well as programming.
