Dr Shililiandumi Naiman

Education and Training

Dr Naiman earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSc EE) (2001), Masters of Science degree in Telecommunication Engineering (2004), and a PhD degree in Telecommunication Engineering (2015), all from the University of Dar es Salaam.

Work Experience

Dr Naiman is a Lecturer of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering in the ETE Department in the College of Information and Communication Technologies (CoICT).  He joined the academic staff of the University of Dar es Salaam in 2005 as Assistant Lecturer and was promoted to a lecturer in 2015. 

Dr Naiman teaches microwave communications, antenna, fiber-optic communication, multimedia communication, analog & digital electronics, fundamentals to electrical networks, and signal processing. His main research interests include Power-line Communication, Smart Grid Technologies, Microwave Communications, Antenna, Fiber-optic Communication, Multimedia Communication, Digital Electronics, and Signal Processing. He is a Registered Professional Engineer by the Engineer Registration Board (ERB) of Tanzania. He undertakes consultancy assignments in the field of Electrical, ICT, and Security. His industry experience includes working in an electrical and telecommunication Construction Company where he designed, tested, and implemented several solutions.
