Fikiri Salum Uledi

Education and Training

Mr. Fikiri Uledi is Electronics and Telecommunication system Engineer with a passion for electronic systems and wireless communications. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications and Networking Engineering at the University of Saad Dahlab de Blida in Blida, Algeria, in 2013. In 2016, he furthered his education by obtaining a Master of Science degree in Electronic Systems and Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis in Nice, France.

Work Experience

During his academic journey, Mr. Fikiri had the opportunity to participate in a prestigious engineering research fellowship program at AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, Poland, sponsored by UNESCO and Government of Poland. This experience enriched his knowledge and expertise in the field of research.

Mr. Fikiri's professional career spans several notable positions. From 2020 to 2022, he served as an Information and Application Process Advisor at Campus France Tanzania, where he provided guidance and assistance to students in their pursuit of higher education opportunities in France. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2020, he worked as the Chief Engineer in Maintenance and Repair  at Vigor Hospitality (Turky Group of Companies LTD) in Moroni, Comoros Island. In this role, he oversaw and managed maintenance operations, ensuring smooth functioning of the company's infrastructure.

In 2017, Mr. Fikiri took on the role of a Lecturer in the Department of Engineering at Al Maktoum College of Engineering and Technology in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He shared his knowledge and mentored aspiring engineers during his time there. Before that, from 2016 to 2017, he gained practical experience as an Assistant ICT Support Engineer at UNDP Istanbul Regional Hub in Istanbul, Turkey.

In July 2023, Mr. Fikiri joined University of Dar es Salaam as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ETE) within the College of Information and Communication Technologies (CoICT). His research interests primarily lie in the fields of wireless communications and electronic systems. With his experience and expertise, he is committed to contributing to the academic and research endeavors of the university, nurturing young minds, and advancing the fields of electronics and telecommunications engineering.
